They made solid bass cabs, and I was considering getting one or two of theirs. That's a fact! Closed forever due to the cost of doing business. Anything more is just redundant and becomes a bunch of worthless ranting and nudging the fringe of the "no politics" rules here (which I offer full throated support of). Beyond that, all they have is little stuff (2 stompboxes, some mics, and a few little trinkets). I've owned six of them, 4, 5, and 6 stringers. Too bad since they made SICK ASS bass guitars. However I don't know if they still offer basses. Lastly, they still offer guitars in partnership with Keisel Guitars. Currently, my brother has a Carvin 500 watt bass amp and a 4x10 bass cab. So said Carvin when I called them inquiring about another 2x10 neodymium bass cab back around 2012 when I could not find neodymium bass cabs in the online catalogue any longer. certain federal powers classified neodymium as a "precious metal" and forced prices of anything containing neodymium to rise sharply, forcing Carvin to no longer offer speakers with neodymium magnets. Currently, I have one of their 12ch live mixer boards, a 2x10 bass cab with neodymium speakers, made before. Sawdust covered happy people making solid gear. Lots of smiling faces at their workstations and machines. They worked hard, and were proud of what they made. ![]() It was a wonderful sight to see, it just made me feel good. I've been to their San Diego factory a number of times since we live about 3 hours from there. I am willing to say that there are states friendly to small businesses, and there are states unfriendly to small business. Saying the reason will cause the RED ALERT sirens to go off about political postings. After building great stuff for over SEVENTY YEARS, as of October 2017 they have closed the San Diego factory, and sold off all of their remaining inventory. My brother needs a new mixer (he outgrew his Mackie "Mix12FX"), so I went to hunt one up on Carvin's Pro Audio website. Guitars, bass guitars, bass amps, bass amp cabinets, mixers, solid PA systems.
